"What should we wear for our portraits?"

When families plan a portrait session with me one of the questions they frequently ask is "any tips for what we should wear?" Yes! I tell families that they can match if they choose to, but it's not necessary. The important thing is to look coordinated with one another; choose a color scheme and build around that, and make sure the clothing styles go together as well--you wouldn't have one person in a suit and another in jeans and a t-shirt!

Another thing to consider is the setting for your portraits. On the beach a casual, fun look is great! In a more formal setting (sometimes in the studio) you might want to have everyone dress up more.
