Maternity

When is the best time to do my maternity session? I recommend that we do your portraits when you are about 7-8 months pregnant; big enough to be showing well but not so big that you feel uncomfortable!

When should I schedule my session? Anytime; the sooner the better so you can be sure of getting a spot on our calendar when you want it.

Do I have provide my own maternity gowns? No! We have a selection of gowns at the studio in a variety of sizes and colors; we recommend that you schedule a complimentary pre-session consultation to browse and try on gowns. A number of our gowns are pictured here: https://www.annecompanionphotography.com/post/we-have-gowns-for-your-maternity-portraits-updated-8-23

Does it cost more to have my partner and/or children be a part of the session? No indeed; your session fee covers your partner and children as well.

Where should we do the session? Studio or outdoors, it’s up to you! Take a look at our maternity gallery and see what setting you like best.

How long will the session take? Maternity sessions usually last about an hour.

When do we see our portraits? About a week after your session you will return to the studio to view and choose the portraits you want to order. Anyone who is a part of the decision-making process should be there. Payment is due when ordering and portraits will be ready in about two weeks.
