Congratulations! You have a baby on the way and you want to book a maternity session; here are 5 tips for getting exactly what you want!
The best time to do your maternity portraits is when you are about 7-8 months pregnant; big enough to be showing well but not so big that you feel uncomfortable!
Do you want your partner or your other children in the session or do you want to just celebrate you and this pregnancy? There's no wrong answer!
Ask photographers that you are considering if they have a "client closet" for you to choose from. Here at Anne Companion Photography we have a wide selection for you to wear at your session and encourage you to schedule a consultation to try some on! https://www.annecompanionphotography.com/post/we-have-gowns-for-your-maternity-portraits-updated-8-23
Think about whether you would like to do your portrait session in a studio or outdoors. Look at photographers' portfolios and see what you prefer.
Remember to have fun! This is a time unlike any other in your life and you should enjoy every moment of your portrait session.
